Cotswold Park Soul Weekend #8

A Jazz, Funk and Soul Weekender held in the luxurious Cotswold Water Park Hotel set in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.
Following the wonderful CPSW7 earlier this year we now have exclusive use of the whole hotel and can now provide the full luxury weekend experience for 600 people.
Soul, Funk, Jazz-Funk, Jazz and House across the 3 rooms, with a host of the finest DJ’s, and you can expect more of the same legendary live artist CPSW has brought you previously with full band line up!
Set in 4 star accommodation over Friday, Saturday and Sunday and includes Dinner Friday and Saturday and Breakfast Brunch Saturday and Sunday all included in your room rate, and all set in the beautiful Cotswold Countryside.

Friday night live – Diggin’ For Diamonds is a 7-piece rare soul and funk band made up of some of East Anglia’s finest musicians, selling out recent club dates so far this year in Cambridge, Peggy’s Skylight in Nottingham and Pizza Express in Soho, London. Andy Davies started putting the band together around 2018 and they are Influenced by the Fatback band, The Salsoul Orchestra, Northern Soul, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and other legendary soul and funk artists from the 1970s. DFD now have a large following & are proving to be one of the Country’s best new Soul bands.
The members of Diggin’ For Diamonds have performed with the likes of Myles Sanko, The Brass Funkeys, Kathy Kosins, Resolution 88, Joanna Eden, Paul Young’s Q-Tips, Don Airey, Joe Bataan, Nicholas Beard, Speedometer, Blondied, The Soft Tone Needles and Soulutions to name a few. The band have also performed at a range of festivals and club venues including the Jazz Cafe in London.

Saturday night performing live with her full band – Emma Noble – Noble’s sound is rooted in and influenced by her deep love for rare soul, funk and disco. She debuted as a solo artist in the lockdown Summer of 2020 and her releases, so far, have been enthusiastically embraced by some of the most respected DJ’s and tastemakers on the scene and have received huge UK Radio support from many well-known radio personalities such as Lauren Lavern, Craig Charles (BBC6 Music, BBC Radio 2), Tony Blackburn, Gary Crowley, Norman Jay MBE (Soho Radio) & Eddie Piller (Acid Jazz) to name just a few. Her live (ten piece band) shows have proved popular with every gig, so far, selling out. Topping the year off, with a sold out show at no other than the Royal Albert Hall.

Saturday performing live with full band Carmy Love – Soul singer Carmy Love launched her solo career in 2021, with her debut 45 ‘Rebel / Thinkin’ About You’ on Big AC Records selling out prior to its official releaseBorn and raised in North West London, Carmy had a rich musical upbringing: Her Mother and Step-Father were DJs on several underground stations including Roots, Unique and Flava Radio. The likes of Janet Kay, Louisa Marks and Chaka Khan all featured heavily during her formative years, whilst an early grounding in Gospel singing developed her vocal style and stage craft.Having also sung with Cool Million, PM Warson, Charles and House Gospel Choir, Carmy was also an original member of New Street Adventure.

Saturday live up close and personal – Ned Ashcroft (Up close session) – Ned Ashcroft is rapidly emerging as one of the UK’s leading singer-songwriters. Described by JazzFM and Robbie Vincent no less as ‘Very, very exciting… remember that name, extraordinary”, he continues to gain critical acclaim for his lyricism and his rare fusion of Soul, Jazz and Rap. In 2023 he independently released his first work, a 15-song Triple Album, “Softness”, which has received favourable comparisons to Loyle Carner, Paolo Nutini and Bill Withers. He is deeply excited to perform alongside his close friend and musical collaborator, the outstanding saxophonist Benjy Sandler, at the Cotswold Park Soul Weekender!
